A Love Story

This story begins back when I was in college at The University of Utah [go utes!] in my hometown of Salt Lake City, Utah.  I joined the Chiomega Sorority to get involved and meet new people and seriously I met the most genuine, amazing friends you will ever find.  One of those stand-out gals was my husband's sister, Hannah who quickly became one of my favorites.  She kept telling me how she wanted to set me up with her older brother who was going to school in California and I was like, ya right that's never gonna happen.  But then he moved to Baltimore, MA for two years while serving an LDS Mission and was about to come home for Christmas so Hannah kept reminding me that we were going to go out on a date and then just get married and move to California.  She's pretty funny.  I thought there was NO way it would ever work out to date one of my friends brothers let alone become a family member, so I never thought about it until one day in January when the stars finally aligned and me and Adam went on our first date [blind date that is] together.  We hit it off right from the start, but after our date he was moving back to California and I knew I had to see him again.  We kept in touch with phone calls, texting, and FaceTime until Hannah cleverly planned a California trip for us.  That trip pretty much sealed the deal and I went home with a kiss and butterflies every time he called.  We flew back and forth to see each other and sent packages to each other helping pass the time until he would move back to Utah for an internship [and basically to date me].  After 8 months of long distance, it was sooo good to be living in the same state and just get to experience everyday life together.  We did everything together and became inseparable.  When December rolled around he surprised me with a fairytale engagement and we began planning our spring wedding.  I had been through my fair share of dates and relationships before I met Adam so meeting him was like a breath of fresh air.  I could completely be myself and we just get each other.  He is funny, sweet, charming, talented, and adventurous, and I feel like one lucky lady to be the one he chose.  As cliche' as it sounds, I'm definitely lucky I married my best friend.  Okay, that's the end of our sappy love story.
