I can't believe Thanksgiving is less than two weeks away! It seems like this holiday season is just flying by and I love this time of year so so much that I wish it would slow down a little. I absolutely love that we have this holiday about giving thanks right before the craziness of Christmas starts so that it puts us in the right frame of mind to remember the spirit of giving this season. I wanted to share some inspiration for the big day where it really is all about the food and your table setting needs to be just as impressive. I love to incorporate warm fall tones and textures with linen napkins and table cloths to wooden chargers and beautiful flowers centering the table. I think that candles always make things more inviting and name tags on the place settings or a thankful card where they can write some things down. [you can find my free printable here and my "give thanks" banner here] And for the food, I love a good appetizer like a cheese board filled with some fruit, nuts, unique cheese, crackers, bread, and spreads that look inviting so your guests will want to dig right in. My favorite Thanksgiving tradition with my family is that we all go around the table and share what we are most grateful for in the past year and toast our cranberry juice to each one. It actually turns out to be pretty sentimental to reflect on the amazing blessings and trials that have shaped us over the past year and things we have been blessed with that we didn't even see coming.
