Making Memories at Disneyland

I feel like I have spent so many of my days as a mom at Disneyland since we've had season passes from the time Capri was born and it's just another part of our routine here in social.  Last week one of my good friends, Megan Turley came into town to do Disneyland with her family and she was able to capture some pictures of me with my crew when we met up with her one day.  I feel so lucky that we were able to catch her because her talented eye perfectly captured all of these memories that I have of this time in our lives and being at Disneyland with them.  Capri is at the best age where everything is so magical to her and she adores every princess and every character.  I love getting to experience it all again through her.

I also wanted to share a few little tips I have picked up along the way about taking kids to Disneyland since I get asked that question all the time and I always take them by myself which can get a little crazy but I've survived and so can you.  This summer is a really fun time to visit because they are still celebrating the 60th anniversary with special shows for the diamond celebration and the park hours are longer in the summer so you get more for your money.  You can also find my favorite Disneyland food here and some more toddler tips here.  Hope any of these help you plan a trip soon!

DISNEYLAND TIPS WITH TODDLERS:

-if you're visiting for a special occasion then ask for a pin [a birthday, babies first time, etc.]

-use the Disneyland App for ride wait times, character sitings, show times

-bring a baby carrier to wear your baby on rides and a diaper bag that works as a backpack [you need your hands free as much as possible]

-pack lots of your own snacks and get free ice water at the refreshment stop on main street

-get to the park early to see characters and get on rides that always have a long wait - like Peter Pan, get there right when it opens!

-go see a show during lunch time to take a break, or ride the train, or let the kids run around Goofy's house playground in Toon Town [mickey's magical map is great or the royal theater has Tangled and Beauty & the Beast]

-wear comfy shoes and layered clothes because the weather can change a lot from chilly mornings and nights to hot afternoons [bring change of clothes for kids too]

-a must-see is the paint the night parade with the fireworks after - amazing and if you're little girl likes princesses get reservations at ariels grotto
