Pantone Color of the Year
Radiant Orchid was officially announced as the Pantone color of the year. I am honestly a little surprised by this because I didn't see this color really creep up into the scene at all in interiors or fashion, but the more I looked for it the more I've seen lots of it around and I think it will just pop up more as spring appears with lots of bright colors that we saw at fashion week last year. As with any "color of the year", I think they are best used in small doses as an accent piece like a throw pillow or a clutch to go with your outfit. The best part about this shade of purple is that it's brighter than other purples we usually see and I love the richness of it. So have fun using a splash of orchid purple into your life this year!
