Palm Springs Getaway

Palm Springs Getaway

This week we took our first little getaway together as a family of four and drove off to the desert for a stay at The Riviera hotel in Palm Springs.  We have been trying to do a Palm Springs trip since we have lived in California and have never found the time, so finally we were like lets just do it.  And I'm so glad we did!  It was so fun to have a little weekend trip and change of scenery.  The Riviera Hotel was such a fun spot with a beautiful pool that we played at all day, mainly because it was so hot to be anywhere else, but also because it was so fun with our cabana to lounge out in and delicious drinks to cool us down plus fun music playing the whole time.  Capri was in heaven being in the water and making friends with everyone in the pool.  We also enjoyed dinner at the hotel restaurant, Circa 59 and it was so delicious we were stuffed full after.  We loved the wedge salad, lobster bisque, steak, salmon risotto, and delicious chocolate molten cake for dessert.  Even the mac and cheese that Capri had was amazing.  The great part about being there was that you don't feel like you need to go anywhere else but just enjoy the pool, tennis courts, spa, restaurant, and fun rooms that have some hollywood glam.  It was the perfect Palm Springs spot and I hope we'll be able to make it back soon!

Besides staying at a fun place like The Riviera and enjoying the resort, there are a few other fun things to experience in Palm Springs so here's some we like besides seeing a big musical festival like Coachella:  Go see the World's Biggest Dinasaurs, ride the Arial Tramway to see some amazing views, and hit up the Desert Palm Outlets on your way back to LA for some shopping.
