The Grand America Hotel Girls Weekend

The Grand America Hotel Girls Weekend

While I was in Utah a few weeks ago before school started, Capri and I had the fun opportunity to take off just the two of us for a girls weekend at one of our favorite hotels, the Grand America Hotel. Whenever we visit Salt Lake City we love to come here because it is the most beautiful hotel right in downtown salt lake city within the perfect distance to everything. We have only been there at Christmas time to see it all done up for the holidays with festive windows we always look forward to seeing and a beautiful brunch they host with special visits from Santa. It’s also close to The Capital Theater where we always see The Nutcracker Ballet and there is always fun music playing in the lobby at night; so coming to stay for a weekend during the summer was such a treat that we could experience Grand America at this time fo year. We absolutely loved the outdoor pool and how beautiful it was with delicious food we could order right there. We loved going over to City Creek Center to do some back to school shopping as well as visiting all of our favorite restaurants like Alemexo, Eva’s Bakery, The Copper Onion, and Takashi. I loved every minute of getting one-on-one time with my little girl who is growing up so fast. With three busy kids close in age, it really is a gift to get that special undivided time with one. She loved going to the Jou Jou toy shop at the hotel to pick out a souvenir as well as the treat shop La Bonne Vie. When we arrived to the hotel to checkin they had fresh lemon water and chocolate chip cookies in the lobby and then some delicious chocolate cakes were waiting for us once we got to our room. After going out that night we got cozy in bed and watched a movie that we could order right from the TV and then woke up to amazing room service for breakfast with Avocado toast to put all others to shame and bacon crusted French toast. We really got the royal treatment and felt totally spoiled! I loved starting this tradition with her of having a girls trip before school starts and I hope it will be something we can keep doing for years to come. Thank you so much to the Grand America Hotel for hosting us, we cannot wait to go back!!
