Dining Room Design
As we are getting right into the holiday season and the time where lots us are hosting dinners and parties, I wanted to share a dining room design with some of my favorite items [and most all of them are on sale!]. I love to start the dining room out with some great art on the walls or with the rug that will be the main color focus. I don’t always put a rug in the dining area if it’s right off the kitchen but if it’s in a separate room then I think it can be nice to have. I love a good round table because it’s great for conversation and you can fit it in small spaces to maximize your seating. These dining chairs are also great because they are bulky so you can fit more around a table and I love the little cross detail in the back because I can hang wreaths from them at Christmas time [such a silly detail but makes a big difference]. Once you have the table, chairs rug and art on the walls you can’t forget about a statement piece of lighting. A beautiful hanging light is my favorite detail and the focal point of the room so don’t be afraid to do something that will stand out. I absolutely love this chandelier and think the brass detail with the wood beads just makes it. I then used fresh linen with cream colored plates and marble and brass accents to create tree dining table scheme that’s perfect for any type of gathering. You can use this setting all year round and just change out the flowers or centerpiece to match the time of year. I always love to keep to a simple color palette that you will use over and over again and not just one holiday out of the year. I also love to add napkin rings or chargers to the plates if you want to elevate the tablescape a bit.
